To become a mother is the dream for all the ladies and the nature has adorned the female body with a mechanism to know whether she has become pregnant or not.
While the human body is always a confusing network of signs and symptoms, pregnancy can often be the most confusing one of all. Some of the earliest signs of pregnancy can often be misinterpreted for pre-menstrual cycle symptoms. When some of the signs occur, it's important to think with a straight head and realize that some signs that may point to pregnancy could in fact be signs of something else going on in the body.
1. One symptom often misinterpreted for pregnancy is morning sickness. Experienced in conjunction with other symptoms, nausea can sometimes be an indicator of pregnancy, but sometimes it's just plain nausea. Morning sickness due to pregnancy can be attributed to increased levels of hormones throughout the body present in a woman's blood. But if conception has not occurred, nausea can be the cause of any number of things, including a virus, food poisoning, or any other number of medical conditions. While in itself nausea isn't serious, if it lasts for more than a few days a doctor should be seen to determine the cause.
2. Another common symptom of pregnant women is food cravings. While the reason this occurs in pregnant women is not known, there are any number of reasons it could occur otherwise. Poor nutrition, pre-menstruation, and a coping mechanism for stress are a few reasons for cravings.
3. Another sign of pregnancy can be swollen or tender breasts; this occurs because of the increased levels of hormones in the system. This symptom can, however, occur during pre-menstruation.
4. Another sign of pregnancy some women experience is vaginal spotting. This happens just after conception has occurred when the egg attaches itself to the uterine wall. The blood will often be pink or brown; for a woman who is not pregnant, however, bleeding can occur as a sign of menstruation, or if taking birth control pills.
These signs of pregnancy are just a few that a woman can experience, both if conception has occurred and if it hasn't. The body can always be a confusing thing to attempt to diagnose, but if any of these symptoms are present together, a pregnancy test should be taken. Prenatal care is essential to both mom and baby, also it's important for mom to know all of the facts about vitamins and diet.
